About Eugenia's Parent Coaching

After working alongside children and their families for thirty-five years as a school counselor and teacher, Eugenia shares her wisdom and experience as she encourages and supports parents on the challenges of raising children. The purpose of Eugenia's guidance is to strengthen the family unit so that children are receiving the necessary emotional support they need at home.

Eugenia grew up in Atlanta GA and attended the Lovett School. She holds a B.S. from Vanderbilt University and both her M.Ed. as a Reading Specialist and M.Ed. in School Counseling from Georgia State University.

A State Certified Counselor with over thirty-five years experience counseling children and their families, Eugenia has worked in both public and private school settings. From 2000 through May, 2013, she served as Lower School Counselor at The Westminster Schools. Eugenia joined Teegarden Education Group, a private practice, in July, 2013. In June, 2016, Eugenia started her private practice, Growing Families LLC. Eugenia has made it her life’s work to be an advocate for the “one childhood experience” every child has been given.

The healthy development of children depends on the emotional well being of parents. Parenting is full of new demands and challenges. Eugenia’s role as a parent coach is to assist parents in understanding the strengths of their family. First, the current challenges are addressed so that a plan can be developed and put in place. With on-going assessment, changes can be made.

Eugenia's parent coaching centers on the parent-child relationship as the context for raising children. Since children aren't born with a manual, parents will learn how this relationship is meant to develop. Love and laughter belong in every home. The best investment a parent will ever make is in the life of their child, and their investment will last forever.
